Money Matters
Plan your budget month by month for the year ahead, and see exactly where every rupee actually went.
This month's budget
Money Matters brings together two tools that answer the household budgeting question from opposite directions. PlanAhead is where you decide, ahead of time, what you intend to spend — laid out month by month, category by category, for the whole year — and then track actual spending against that plan as the months go by, catching drift early instead of discovering it in December.
Spend Analyzer answers the other half of the question: what did you actually spend, without you having to type in a single transaction. Upload a bank statement — PDF or Excel, whatever your bank gives you — and every transaction is extracted and categorized automatically. Under the hood this uses a hybrid approach: deterministic parsing does the row-by-row extraction (verified against the statement's own running balance, so the numbers are provably correct, not just AI's best guess), and AI is reserved for the one thing it's actually needed for — deciding what category each transaction belongs to.
Together, the two halves close the loop: PlanAhead tells you what you planned, Spend Analyzer tells you what happened, and the gap between them is exactly the number worth paying attention to.
Features
- PlanAhead — Yearly Budget
- Lay out a planned budget for every month of the year ahead, category by category, then track actual spending against it as the year unfolds — so overspending in one category shows up as a visible gap immediately, not as a surprise when the year's numbers are finally added up. Trend charts show the drift over time, not just a single month's snapshot.
- Spend Analyzer
- Upload a bank statement (PDF or Excel) and every transaction is extracted and categorized automatically — no manual data entry, no re-typing rows from a PDF into a spreadsheet. Deterministic parsing does the extraction and is checked against the statement's own running balance for accuracy; AI is used only to categorize, which keeps the result both fast and verifiably correct rather than a pure AI guess.
